The Pampered Chef, Ltd. seeks a Senior Development Engineer at its facility located at One Pampered Chef Lane, Addison, IL 60101. The Senior Development Engineer will be responsible for software development of Pampered Chef's primary ecommerce application and supporting applications. S/he will be working closely with other engineers and product owners in a small team using Agile and Scrum methodologies. S/he will use Java, Node.js, Angular, Hybris, JavaScript. HTML5 and CSS3. S/he will be responsible or the full lifecycle of the applications that they build, including design, development, testing, release, and maintenance. S/he will test the front end and server side code, using test driven development. S/he will write and maintain the acceptance and integration tests powered by technologies such as Selenium. S/he will be working with our enterprise architecture team to ensure proper technology choices are being evaluated and align with company initiatives. S/he will be responsible for contributing and maintaining the continuous deployment and release automation processes of their software applications. REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related and 5 years of professional experience designing, developing, testing and maintaining enterprise software using Java, Oracle, Scrum or XP. Additionally, the applicant must have 5 years of professional experience with: (1) Java architecture, design, development, unit and functional testing; (2) HTML5, CSS3, Angular or other modern front end web technology; (3) Relational database design, development, testing, optimization; (4) Agile software development process; and (5) Continuous integration process and tools, automated or continuous deployment, release automation processes and integration testing tools.
